Lodestar brings on Westdrill for Ned’s Creek

Lodestar Minerals (ASX:LSR) has orchestrated a contract with Westdrill to conduct 10,000m of reverse circulation drilling across the Ned’s Creek Gold Project in Western Australia to establish a maiden resource estimate.

Drilling will begin in late March across the Gidgee Flat, Contessa, and Central Park prospects, subject to site access, clearing, and weather conditions.

The campaign follows on from Lodestar’s exploration target of between 250,000 and 300,000 ounces of gold for 5 to 7 million tonnes between 1 to 1.7 grams per tonne of gold, as defined in December 2025.

Lodestar will test the targeted prospects with infill drilling to strengthen confidence and continuity of known mineralisation, extensional drilling to expand the footprint, test gold targets previously identified, and generate data for metallurgical testworks, geological modelling, and resource estimation.

Executive Director Coraline Blaud says Lodestar intends to return a maiden resource estimate for the project later this year, with the execution of the drilling contract marking a “significant step forward” for the company.

“This drilling program is designed to expand and increase confidence in known gold mineralisation following the December 2025 exploration target and represents a key milestone for the advancement of the project,” Blaud says.

Drilling at Ned’s Creek will coincide with copper-focused drilling at Lodestar’s Three Saints and Los Loros projects in Chile.

As reported by Mining.com.au, drilling at Three Saints began in early February to test copper-gold targets.

Lodestar Minerals is a gold and base metal explorer focused on developing its portfolio of assets in Australia, Chile, and the US.
