Litchfield Minerals (ASX:LMS) has appointed Matt McGloin as senior exploration geologist to advance exploration at its Northern Territory projects.
McGloin brings extensive expertise across the Aileron and Irindina Provinces from his previous roles with the Northern Territory Geological Survey and IGO (ASX:IGO).
The company has completed four drill holes at its Oonagalabi Project, with samples from multiple targets now dispatched for assay.
Managing Director Matthew Pustahya says exploration momentum remains strong despite weather disruptions.
“While the pace of news flow to the market has slowed slightly due to operational challenges and weather disruptions, the pace of exploration on the ground has remained extremely strong,” Pustahya says.
“The team has already completed a significant amount of work this field season across Oonagalabi, Silver Valley and Lucy Creek, placing the company well ahead of much of the exploration market operating across Northern and Central Australia.”
The company has completed three diamond drill holes and one reverse circulation hole across the Bomb-Diggity target and Oonagalabi Main Zone.
At Bomb-Diggity, drilling includes an 800m diamond hole and a 364m reverse circulation hole. The Main Zone program comprises a 300m diamond hole testing a magnetic feature and a 118m diamond hole targeting previous gold mineralisation.
Litchfield has constructed six new drill pads across the VT1, VT2 and Main Zone targets ahead of phase three reverse circulation drilling.
The company is working to secure a Schramm 450 reverse circulation rig to complete seven planned holes testing electromagnetic conductors and induced polarisation anomalies.
Access to the Silver Valley and Mount Doreen projects remains restricted due to recent rainfall, with activities expected to resume in early April.
The company also reports exploration manager Russell Dow has resigned effective 15 April 2026.
