Lindian Resources (ASX:LIN) has established a regional office in Singapore to support international sales, marketing, and logistics functions.
Following the recent termination of a third‑party trading agency agreement, Lindian has brought its global marketing function in‑house. The company says this will provide full marketing and distribution flexibility to manage global demand.
All future monazite concentrate and mixed rare earth carbonate sales will be managed by a dedicated team in Singapore, who will engage with strategic regional partners alongside the executive team.
The new hub will enhance Lindian’s ability to engage with new counterparties and refiners globally while streamlining operations and costs.
The in‑house sales and logistics function eliminates external marketing fees required for trading companies, delivering cost savings and fostering direct relationships with refiners, automotive companies, original equipment manufacturers, and other strategic parties.
The move follows Lindian’s termination of its sale and purchase agreement with Gerald Metals, announced 19 June.
The company’s Kangankunde Rare Earths Project in Malawi remains on track for first production in the December quarter, with construction well advanced following a $100 million institutional capital raising in April.
Kangankunde will produce a premium monazite concentrate at 55% total rare earth oxides grade, with operating costs in the lowest cost quartile globally.
Lindian Resources is an Australian-based critical minerals developer advancing its flagship Kangankunde rare earths project in Malawi towards first production, while also holding bauxite and gold exploration assets across Guinea, Tanzania, and Australia.
