Lincoln Minerals (ASX:LML) has received all government and land access approvals for stage one drilling at the Minbrie Project in South Australia’s Eyre Peninsula.
The approvals have allowed the company to book an aircore drill rig for a planned 40-hole drilling campaign in Q2 2026, testing the potential for copper and other base metals.
The company has confirmed stage one drill sites and secured a drill contractor to mobilise to the project.
Drilling will test an estimated 1.7km of untouched strike at the Eagle Ridge prospect, within Minbrie’s larger 17km of target stratigraphy prospective for copper and base metals.
Historical drilling at Eagle Ridge returned an intersection of 29.5m @ 0.8% copper, 7.5% lead, 1.9% zinc, and 9 grams per tonne silver from 131.1m
Drilling will determine follow-up reverse circulation or diamond drilling at the project, which will be conducted later in the year if deemed worthy.
CEO Chris Wilcox says securing the approvals required allows the company to move into aircore drilling at Minbrie in Q2.
“We expect this will lead to follow-up diamond drilling at Minbrie later in the year, dependent on results,” Wilcox says.
“A strong relationship with the South Australian Government and local community, particularly the primary producers on whose land we are operating, is critical for Lincoln’s long-term success.”
Lincoln Minerals is focused on advancing copper and base metal projects in South Australia’s Gawler Craton region.
