Legend completes heritage survey at Pinnacle Well

Legend Mining (ASX:LEG) has completed its first heritage survey at the Pinnacle Well Project, advancing preparations for a maiden drilling campaign at the Western Australian gold project.

The survey was conducted with Watarra Aboriginal Corporation over two days (16–17 July), covering the Alpha North and Pyrophyllite Hill prospects.

Legend says the work was designed to provide area clearance for ground-disturbing activities. The company expects to receive the heritage survey report from Watarra in August or September, which it says would satisfy the prerequisite statutory approvals for drilling.

The Alpha North survey area measures 1,300m by 700m, while the area surveyed at Pyrophyllite Hill covers 1,000m by 500m.

The survey follows a heritage protection agreement signed between Legend and Watarra in December 2025. Watarra is the prescribed body corporate for the Darlot People — the Traditional Owners of the area.

Legend describes the survey as the first step towards establishing a long-term relationship with the Darlot People as exploration progresses at Pinnacle Well.

Ahead of drilling, the company plans to finalise drill hole designs using pole-dipole induced polarisation modelling, rock-chip and soil geochemistry, and findings from recent geological reconnaissance.

Drilling is expected to begin after Legend receives the heritage survey report.

The Pinnacle Well Project comprises four exploration licences covering 128km² of Darlot country, approximately 25km north-northeast of Leonora in Western Australia’s Eastern Goldfields.

Legend Mining is an Australian exploration company focused on nickel, copper, as well as cobalt, zinc, silver, and gold.
