Lefroy kicks off Mt Martin Scoping Study

Lefroy Exploration (ASX:LEX) has commenced a Scoping Study for its Mt Martin Gold Project, appointing Measured Group to lead the evaluation.

The evaluation follows the company’s updated mineral resource estimate of 9.1 million tonnes (Mt) at 1.60 grams per tonne gold for 460,000 ounces announced in May.

The resource includes 3.9Mt at 1.60g/t gold for 200,500 ounces in the indicated category and 5.2Mt at 1.60g/t gold for 259,500 ounces inferred.

The study will evaluate open-pit mining scenarios, processing strategies, infrastructure, and economics, with completion targeted by the end of the September 2026 quarter.

Evaluation activities are backed by a $3.6 million placement completed in May.

Managing Director Graeme Gribbin says the study represents a “significant milestone” as Lefroy advances its portfolio.

“With a significant mineral resource base exceeding one million ounces of contained gold, the company is establishing a strong platform for future growth and value creation,” Gribbin says.

“The Mt Martin Scoping Study will provide Lefroy with the technical and economic understandings required to make informed decisions regarding the future advancement of the project and assess its potential pathway towards development and production.”

Lefroy Exploration is a Western Australian explorer focused on its flagship namesake project in the Kalgoorlie and Kambalda mining districts.
