Larvotto Resources (ASX:LRV) has received assays from first-pass drilling at the Blacklode prospect within the Hillgrove Antimony-Gold Project in New South Wales, ahead of a resource and reserve upgrade to the project’s Metz Mining Centre.
Results have confirmed wide zones of antimony and gold mineralisation near the surface, where the company targeted an extension to the Blacklode structure at the Syndicate lode intersection.
Highlights include 15m @ 5.24 grams per tonne gold equivalent from 42m, including 4.2m @ 14.46g/t from 49m; 14.8m @ 3.48g/t gold equivalent from 95m; and 9.1m @ 5.19g/t gold equivalent from 63.6m.
Managing Director Ron Heeks says drilling continues to demonstrate Hillgrove’s potential for an increased resource base.
“These latest results reinforce our optimism, with first-pass drilling at the Blacklode prospect confirming high-grade gold and antimony intercepts, with the best result of 15m @ 5.24g/t gold equivalent from 42m, and additional mineralised splays and unmined halos, as seen at Eleanora,” Heeks says.
“Drilling is also targeting Freehold, with two rigs spinning and extensional and confirmatory drilling at Clarks Gully.
“This exploration strategy balances near-mine growth with broader district potential, positioning Hillgrove for both immediate resource additions and long-term upside.”
The company intends to continue exploration efforts across the Metz and Freegold areas of the project into the next year, with four drill rigs scheduled.
Comprising the Blacklode, Sunlight, and Syndicate prospects, the Metz Mining Centre has undergone extensive exploration for its prospectivity for gold and antimony.
As reported by Mining.com.au, Larvotto received an unsolicited non-binding indicative offer from United States Antimony Corporation (NYSE:UAMY) after market close on 17 October, and upon acquiring 10% shareholding in the company.
Larvotto Resources is a mineral explorer focused on advancing its portfolio of assets, including its New South Wales and Queensland projects.
