Kincora Copper (ASX:KCC) has expanded its newly formed Advisory Board, naming Kerry Stevenson and Michelle Borromeo as the most recent appointments.
These new additions come just a couple of weeks after Kincora appointed Brent Cook and Laurie Thomas.
CEO Sam Spring says Stevenson is a seasoned veteran who has built and sold companies, is a successful financial market investor and business performance coach with a global network.
She has over 20 years of experience in the Australian and international resources sector.
Stevenson is best known for her passion for the precious metals sector and her well-attended Australian Gold Conferences, including this week’s Sydney event which Spring says was a “huge success”.
Borromeo also has around two decades of experience in natural resources, specialising in the capital markets as an investor relations, corporate communications and corporate development executive since 2009.
She began her career as a field biologist working in Mexico, after which she joined an oil and gas service company in Alberta.
Borromeo transitioned to the corporate side 15 years ago where she continues to work as a strategic advisor and consultant for various junior mining companies.
“Michelle’s corporate development and communication experience and network in the North American natural resource sector will greatly assist Kincora’s corporate engagement and strategy,” Spring says.
The creation of the new advisory board follows the $4 million private placement that was cornerstoned by well-known North American investors Rick Rule and Jeff Phillips and completed in early September.
Kincora plans to use the cash raised to fund its ongoing project generation strategy, undertake significant drilling at its 100% owned Condobolin gold-base metals project, as well as for general working capital and corporate purposes.
“Post the recent non-brokered private placement we are entering a period of significant expected growth in drilling and further deals,” Spring says.
“The company has sought to secure highly credentialed personnel to assist with this, looking to support our increased presence in the North American capital markets.”
To date, Kincora has secured over $110 million in potential asset-level funding via six partnerships and is advancing talks for further large-scale partner agreements.
