Infini Resources (ASX:I88) is permitted to launch drilling at its Reynolds Lake and Reitenbach Lake uranium projects in northern Saskatchewan, Canada.
The provincial Energy and Resources Ministry approved Infini’s maiden drilling program after extensive consultation with local First Nations people. The site is expected to be mobilised before the end of April 2026.
The 2.5km program represents the first drill testing of this “underexplored” eastern edge of the Athabasca Basin, which is claimed to be “highly prospective” for both unconformity-related and basement-hosted uranium systems.
Testing will focus on electromagnetic conductors, magnetic features, uranium geochemical anomalism, and interpreted structural corridors.
‘High-grade’ uranium mineralisation has already been identified at the Titus prospect. Rock chip samples returned up to 1.90% triuranium octoxide, next to both a priority electromagnetic target and an interpreted structural conductor.
Datasets have defined a large, system-scale footprint that could host uranium mineralisation. The footprint includes 80km of electromagnetic conductors and a highly prospective 15km-long by 3km-wide corridor that is adjacent to the Titus prospect.
“With drill targets now defined across a large, system-scale footprint prospective for uranium mineralisation, the next step is to mobilise the rig to site and commence drilling… [and] we appreciate the support of the Saskatchewan Ministry of Energy and Resources — and the constructive engagement with Ya’thi Néné Lands and Resources [not-for-profit representatives] throughout the permitting process,” Infini CEO Rohan Bone says.
“Integration of geophysics, geochemistry, and structural datasets has defined compelling, high-priority targets, with the presence of high-grade surface mineralisation at the Titus Prospect and the scale of the electromagnetic conductor network providing strong encouragement that we are vectoring into a potentially significant mineralised uranium system ahead of drilling in quarter two of calendar 2026.”
Infini now plans to mobilise independent geological consulting firm Archer Cathro and drilling contractor Rodren Drilling to Reynolds and Reitenbach Lakes before 31 April.
