American Tungsten (CSE:TUNG) CEO Ali Haji says the latest drill results from an ongoing underground drill program continues to show the IMA Mine in the US, hosts a robust and laterally extensive tungsten-silver system.
“The consistency of mineralisation we are defining strengthens our confidence in the project’s scale and supports our path toward a modern resource and the potential restart of mining operations,” Haji says.
“With each hole, the opportunity at IMA becomes clearer.”
To date, drilling has expanded the extent of the no.5 and no.7 vein system over 300 feet up-dip of the D-level and over 350 feet along strike.
Some of the latest results include 14.2 feet @ 0.67% tungsten oxide and 1.15 ounces per tonne silver; and 17 feet @ 1.28% tungsten oxide and 3.53 ounces per tonne silver.
American Tungsten has drilled 11 holes on the D level and three holes on the Zero level totalling 5,000 feet.
Currently, at least six additional holes totalling 2,800 feet are planned from on the D level and more holes may be added to the program based on results. Drilling and mine rehabilitation operations are also being conducted on the Zero level.
On the Zero level, up to 20 holes will be completed totalling 10,000 feet.
The IMA Mine is a past producing underground tungsten mine situated on 22 patented claims located in East Central Idaho.
American Tungsten is a Canadian explorer focused on tungsten and magnetite discoveries in North America.
