Group Eleven Resources (TSX-V:ZNG) has intersected 14.7m @ 2.00% zinc plus lead (Zn + Pb) from a step-out drill hole 550m from its Stonepark resource in Ireland.
The intersection included 6.3m @ 4.10% Zn + Pb, with a higher-grade zone of 2.8m @ 8.30% Zn + Pb and 1.0m @ 21.7% Zn + Pb with 4g/t silver (Ag).
The hole was drilled at the company’s 78.6%-owned Stonepark Project, located 20km from its Ballywire discovery at the PG West Project.
Group Eleven drilled to 894m to test for deeper copper-silver mineralisation below the Waulsortian limestone, with assays pending. The intersection is located 150m northwest from the nearest historic hole, which intersected 3.2m @ 4.40% Zn + Pb.
CEO Bart Jaworski says the results represent the most significant progress at Stonepark since acquiring the licence in 2017.
“Out of the seven stepout holes within the vicinity of the Stonepark MRE drilled by Group Eleven since acquisition, this is by far the most mineralised,” Jaworski says.
“Specifically, to find massive to semi-massive sulphide in a previously untested area this far away from the MRE is quite important, especially based on our experience at Ballywire.
“Together with the next closest hole, 150m away and also mineralised, potential for resource growth in this immediate locality has drastically improved.”
The company intends to drill two additional holes as part of its current 2,700m Stonepark campaign.
Meanwhile, a larger 12,800m program is expected to start in late 2026 or early 2027, targeting the mirror image of Glencore’s Pallas Green zinc-lead deposit.
At Ballywire, four rigs continue drilling the southwestern extension of the discovery. Recent intercepts at Ballywire include 52.3m @ 10.3% Zn + Pb with 330g/t Ag and 0.40% copper.
Group Eleven Resources is focused on advanced-stage zinc exploration in Ireland.
