GreenTech Metals (ASX:GRE) has resumed the stage two drilling program at the Whundo Copper-Zinc Project in the West Pilbara region of Western Australia.
Following the Christmas break, drilling contractor Topdrill has returned to site, focusing on the down-plunge conductors associated with the mineralised shoots at the Austin, Shelby, Yannery, and Ayshia targets.
These targets present potential to increase the existing copper-zinc resources at Whundo.
Once completed, downhole electromagnetic surveys will be undertaken on several holes. The results of the surveys will assist in planning follow-up drilling.
GreenTech says the program aims to uncover and where possible quantify new resources with the targeting guided by the results of the stage one drilling program, which comprised 1,710m of reverse circulation drilling.
Executive Director Tom Reddicliffe says fixed-loop electromagnetic surveys that were completed in late last year are being interpreted and are expected to support further targeting of the stage two program.
Further, GreenTech has completed the second tranche of a $2.3 million placement. The company intends to use the funds to progress its exploration plans.
GreenTech Metals is an explorer and developer focused on projects considered prospective for lithium, copper, nickel, and cobalt within the West Pilbara and Fraser Range provinces.
