Great Boulder extends ‘high-grade’ gold at Peak Hill

Great Boulder Resources (ASX:GBR) has returned gold intersections across three prospects at its Peak Hill Gold Project in Western Australia as drilling targets growth beyond the current 481,000-ounce mineral resource estimate.

The latest results from the company’s 40,000m program include 12m @ 8.56 grams per tonne gold (Au) from 8m and 8m @ 9g/t Au from 76m at Golden Treasure.

At Durack, hole GDRC030 intersected 20m @ 2.73g/t Au from 90m and 10m @ 9.18g/t Au from 137m.

Separate drilling returned 8m @ 5.67g/t Au from 148m and 6m @ 4.73g/t Au from 155m.

The results build on earlier drilling at Peak Hill, which returned 4m @ 37.1g/t Au from 110m at Durack and 3m @ 29.4g/t Au from 39m at Jubilee.

Great Boulder says the results extend ‘higher-grade’ mineralisation across more than 300m of strike at Durack, which hosts 2.89 million tonnes (Mt) @ 1.2g/t Au for 112,000 ounces.

The company interprets the mineralisation as steeply northeast-dipping silicified shears with a northwest plunge that remains open to the north and at depth.

Managing Director Andrew Paterson says the plunge direction is providing targets for deeper drilling.

“The Durack deposit is demonstrating high grades over 300m of strike, with a well-defined plunge direction giving us high-grade targets for further drilling at depth,” Paterson says.

“We have the first high-grade intersections back from Golden Treasure, which is outside the resource. This is an extremely promising growth target on the edge of Jubilee, with more drilling to be completed shortly.

“The rigs are currently at Enigma and Five Ways. We look forward to reporting more results from these areas as the program continues.”

Great Boulder says it plans a second phase of reverse circulation and diamond drilling at Golden Treasure after two diamond holes identified at least two mineralised vein orientations.

At Enigma, initial results include 3m @ 5.91g/t Au from 72m and 6m @ 2.89g/t Au from 90m.

Three rigs remain active, with drilling continuing at Enigma and Five Ways before returning to Jubilee and Durack. Meanwhile, the company has also planned further programs at Harmony, Golden Treasure, and Mt Pleasant.

Great Boulder says it is targeting a resource upgrade by the end of 2026. The company says its ore purchase agreement with major shareholder Westgold Resources (ASX:WGX) provides a potential pathway to production using nearby processing infrastructure.

Great Boulder Resources is an Australian gold exploration and development company advancing the Peak Hill and Side Well projects in the Murchison region.
