GoldInxs Mining (TSX-V:INXS) has started the first hole of a diamond drilling program comprising eight to 10 holes at its Fishpot Project in central British Columbia, Canada.
The approximately 2,000m phase-one campaign will test six zones for epithermal gold-silver and porphyry-style copper-gold mineralisation: Lightening, Thriller, Believin’, Luftballon, Southside, and BullsEye.
Hole 26FP001 is drilling into the Lightening zone, where overlapping induced polarisation resistivity and chargeability anomalies sit beneath a 2km by 500m area of intense silica alteration.
GoldInxs developed the targets using a 53.4 line-kilometre three-dimensional induced polarisation survey, magnetic data, surface geochemistry, mapping, and other geophysical interpretations.
President and CEO Nick Michael says drilling moves the company from target generation to testing its exploration model.
“Commencement of drilling marks a defining milestone for GoldInxs as we transition from target generation to testing our exploration thesis at Fishpot,” Michael says.
“The program represents an important step in evaluating the property’s gold-silver and copper-gold potential, with results expected to guide our next exploration decisions.”
Only two historical holes, totalling 378m, have been drilled across the property. GoldInxs describes the current campaign as the first modern, systematic drill test of multiple priority targets at Fishpot.
Previously reported selective surface rock samples returned up to 5.65 grams per tonne gold, 11.35g/t silver, and 0.42% copper. These results do not indicate expected drilling grades or establish mineralisation at depth.
The program follows GoldInxs’ upsized private placement and board changes. Proceeds were allocated to Fishpot drilling, property work, and working capital.
Separately, GoldInxs has engaged German Mining Networks for European investor outreach under a monthly C$6,800 ($6,920) retainer. The firm will receive no shares or options.
