Global Lithium Resources (ASX:GL1) is underway with carrying out an updated Mineral Resource Estimate (MRE) for its Manna Lithium Project in Western Australia, amid receiving the final assays from its 2023 drill program.
Manna’s current MRE is 36 million tonnes @ 1.13% lithium oxide (Li2O).
Global Lithium, which has a $143.14 million market capitalisation, expects to deliver the MRE during Q2 2024.
General Manager of Geology Logan Barber says the company is looking forward to incorporating the latest drill results into its updated MRE, which will form part of the project’s Definitive Feasibility Study (DFS).
“The GL1 exploration team is now gearing up to embark on the company’s third successive drill campaign at Manna that will focus on drill testing potential new zones of shallow lithium mineralisation southwest and along strike of the Manna lithium deposit.”
Upcoming exploration drilling will be conducted targeting along the Manna fault zone to the southwest and northeast of the Manna deposit to test under areas of cover for shallow spodumene bearing pegmatites.
The company plans to conduct 6,000m of RC drilling during Q2 2024.
A combination of reverse circulation (RC) and diamond drilling for 60,000m was conducted at Manna and returned ‘significant high-grade’ intercepts which will help support potential underground development.
Global Lithium reports some of these results include hole MDD0040 with 15.4m @ 1.28% Li2O from 212.5m; and hole MRC0238 with 12m @ 1.55% Li2O from 191m.
Mineralised pegmatites are still open at depth and along strike.
