Global Lithium Resources appoints Wave International to undertake metallurgical processing program at Manna Project

Global Lithium Resources (ASX:GL1) has started a detailed metallurgical processing program for the Manna Lithium Project, located 100km east of Kalgoorlie in the Goldfields region.

Resources engineering firm Wave International has been appointed to undertake the study, which will define and test the metallurgical upgrade processes to produce an industry standard spodumene concentrate for the Manna Project.

The Scoping Study that is currently underway uses industry standards for spodumene concentrate recoveries to establish the parameters for the study. The outcomes of this study will underpin actual recovery and grade information to be used in the subsequent Feasibility Study that is scheduled to commence in Q1 CY23, while also identifying key risks and opportunities.

The growing multi-asset Western Australian lithium company has now defined a total inferred and indicated mineral resource of 50.7 million tonnes @ 1.0% Li2O at its Marble Bar Lithium Project (MBLP) and Manna Lithium projects, with the lithium player aiming to fast track into development.

Addressing the study, Global Lithium Managing Director Ron Mitchell says: “We are excited to have kicked off 2023 with the commencement of another key milestone in relation to the Manna Lithium Project. The scope of this metallurgical program will provide Global Lithium with robust inputs for our Manna Feasibility Study, which is due to commence in Q1 CY23. We look forward to updating shareholders as the full results of this Study become available later in the year.”
