Evergold Minerals (ASX:EG1) has commenced a 13,000m aircore drilling program at the Mt Monger Gold Project in Western Australia, following a previously reported maiden reverse circulation drilling program at the Duchess of York prospect.
Drilling targets shallow extensions and parallel lodes within approximately 60m of surface, which were defined by the maiden program.
The maiden program confirmed broad gold intercepts, including 25m @ 3.47 grams per tonne gold (Au) from 3m, including 1m @ 52.74g/t Au; 6m @ 5.43g/t Au from 29m, including 2m @ 12.25g/t Au; and 22m @ 1.80g/t Au from 59m, including 8m @ 3.38g/t Au.
Following drilling at Duchess of York, Evergold will then move on to regional targets across Gladiator, Samurai, Hickman’s Find, Tiger Lily, Captain Hook, Crusader, and Paladin.
Evergold shares that the aircore targets were generated using its geological model, which combines 3D gravity modelling, drone magnetics, and structural mapping.
Director Glenn Grayson says the maiden RC program has improved Evergold’s understanding of the geological framework at Mt Monger.
“We now have a much clearer picture of the controls on gold mineralisation, and importantly, we believe that framework has the potential to host multiple gold systems across the project, not just at Duchess of York,” Grayson says.
“The aircore drilling is the next step in testing that view. It allows us to move beyond individual prospects and systematically evaluate the broader district.
“We believe this work has the potential to substantially expand our pipeline of drill-ready targets and demonstrate the district-scale potential of the Mt Monger Gold Project.”
Located approximately 70km southeast of Kalgoorlie, Mt Monger sits less than 5km from Vault Minerals’ (ASX:VAU) 1.2-million-tonne-per-annum Randalls Gold Mill.
Evergold notes assay results from aircore drilling are expected from mid-August 2026.
Following the aircore program, the company is planning follow-up RC drilling at Duchess of York alongside diamond drilling at Gladiator, which will be co-funded via the Western Australian Government’s Exploration Incentive Scheme (EIS).
