Everest Metals Corporation (ASX:EMC) aims to test for further mineralised extensions after receiving results from a scout reverse circulation drilling program at the Mt Dimer Taipan Project in Western Australia.
The company is planning a follow-up drilling program to further test the zones, as well as delineating gold anomalies at the project.
This news comes after the latest results confirmed mineralisation within the project, associated with a previously recognised intrusive body indicating potential to host gold mineral systems.
Some of the results include 6m @ 1 grams per tonne gold and 1.7g/t silver; 9m @ 0.33g/t gold; and 2m @ 0.34g/t gold.
CEO Mark Caruso says the limited scout reverse circulation drilling program confirmed anomalous gold mineralisation across Mt Dimer.
“These results underscores the potential for further exploration and confirms further work is required to test extensions to existing mineralisation at Mt Dimer Taipan which remains open along strike and depth,” Caruso says.
“Management is finalising all regulatory approvals, and coupled with advanced discussions being had with third party toll treaters and mining contractors, positions Everest Metals to commence mining operations in Q4 2025.”
Everest Metals is confident that the resource is open to the south and at depth, with mineralisation potentially extending beyond the current drilling area. There is strong potential for mineralisation to continue along the southern strike.
The Mt Dimer Taipan Project, considered prospective for gold and silver, is located 100km northeast of Southern Cross. The project has a resource of 722,000 tonnes @ 2.10g/t gold for 48,500 ounces and 3.84g/t silver for 89,000 ounces.
