Elephant warrants more drilling: Element79 Gold

Element79 Gold (CSE:ELEM) outlines that additional drilling is warranted to evaluate skarn- and porphyry-style gold-copper mineralisation at the Elephant Project in Nevada, after filing an independent technical report.

The company intends to conduct a legacy core program, including re-logging, photographing, and digitising historical core, as well as implementing qualified assurance and quality control (QA/QC) check assays and petrography.

Geophysics integration and 3D geological modelling will also be carried out ahead of drilling. Upon completion, drilling will test induced polarisation chargeability corridors and the interpreted north-northeast intrusive trend at Elephant.

The report provides an integrated assessment of geology, geophysics, and the compilation and analysis of historical exploration data.

Historical exploration on the property has identified multiple gold-bearing structures, surface sampling anomalies, and drill intercepts that indicate strong potential for high-grade and bulk-tonnage gold mineralisation.

CEO Michael Smith says the report highlights the potential of the Elephant Project, supporting the company’s intention to advance a systematic exploration program aimed at expanding on past work and unlocking its full potential.

“With high-grade gold intervals reported in historical core and geophysical signatures consistent with sulphide mineralisation, our focus is on smart metres that test the heart of this system,” Smith says.

Elephant, covering 3,740 acres, comprises 32 drillholes historical holes with widespread base metals anomalism and localised gold within skarn/hornfels near intrusive dykes.

Some of the historical results include 1.5m @ 14.5 grams per tonne gold, plus 1.5m @ 1.753g/t gold; and 6.2 feet @ 7.70g/t gold, plus multiple intervals between 0.59-1.6g/t gold over 1-20m.

The company says these intercepts occur within broader halos of base metal enrichment, consistent with skarn and porphyry systems.

Element79 Gold is focused on developing projects prospective for precious metals in Nevada, US.
