Element79 takes crucial step at Gold Mountain

Element79 Gold Corp (CSE:ELEM) has secured a two-year extension of a drilling permit for its Gold Mountain Project in Nevada, US, as part of the group’s development strategy.

CEO Michael Smith says securing this permit extension is a crucial step in ensuring continuity of the company’s exploration strategy.

“We are now positioned to execute on our drill programs and advance the project toward resource development, with the intent of building long-term value,” Smith says.

In early August 2025, Element79 positioned the Gold Mountain Project into a drill-ready stage after engaging Rangefront Mining Services to prepare a technical report.

As Mining.com.au reported, the report outlines the geological potential of the 702-acre property.

Following the release of the report, Element79 outlined a fully cost exploration program that had restarted at the project, totalling US$800,000. The program includes detailed mapping, geophysics, and a 8,000 feet reverse circulation drilling program.

The Gold Mountain Project, located along Nevada’s Battle Mountain trend, has had historical work and technical studies which highlighted drill-ready targets that will be central to the company’s exploration focus over the next two years.
