Element79 restructures for Nevada and Peru exploration

Element79 Gold (CSE:ELEM) has confirmed an ongoing strategic transformation with leadership changes as part of the company’s plan to advance its Nevada and Peru assets.

Current CEO James Tworek will be stepping down to support the company as a director, with Vice President Michael Smith to take over the role.

Tworek says it has been a privilege to expedite the company to where it sits today, surpassing multiple milestones since its initial public offering in August 2021.

“With the company’s recent refocus on exploration and resource development in Nevada while continuing a mid-to-long term strategy of restarting production at Lucero in Peru, I am confident that Michael is the right leader to guide the current phase of growth,” Tworek says.

Meanwhile, Director and Qualified Person Neil Pettigrew is similarly resigning from his involvement with the company, to be replaced by the current COO Kim Kirkland, who is stepping down from that position.

Other members of the board will remain as is, with Director Warren Levy also assuming the role of Chairman, all changes effective 31 August 2025.

While the company has spent the past year zoning in on its Nevada-based assets, extending its footprint in the Battle Mountain trend with the acquisition of the Gold Mountain Project, not far from its Elephant Project, Element79 intends to advance its Lucero Project in southern Peru.

The company is currently addressing community engagement, legal and regulatory readiness, as well as aligning project development to be prospective for the future, ahead of site work targeted for mobilisation in mid-2026.

Over in Nevada, Element79 intends to expand the known mineralisation of Gold Mountain to push the project towards a resource definition. Rangefront Mining Services is currently preparing a technical report for the project.

The company will also conduct exploration activities at the Elephant Project to evaluate and advance the project’s potential reach of gold, silver, lead, and copper.

Element79 is a gold and silver-focused mining company focused on advancing its assets in Nevada and Peru.
