Element79 Gold (CSE:ELEM) has entered into an agreement with Pinion Exploration to begin phase one field operations, starting with access road development and drill pad construction, at the Gold Mountain Project in Nevada.
Under the agreement, the scope of work includes clearing and rehabilitation of the existing access road through the Copper Basin and into the lower-elevation drill pads on the project’s eastern side.
The work also includes the extension of a short section of road to access the permitted drill pads. In addition, Pinion will conduct the construction of four to six drill pads to support upcoming exploration work.
This work follows the company securing a two-year extension of a drill permit and securing a reclamation bond.
CEO Michael Smith says phase one field operations is a key step in enabling access to priority drill targets identified across the project area.
“This marks the transition from planning and permitting to active exploration,” Smith says.
The Gold Mountain Project comprises 34 unpatented lode mining claims spanning 284 hectares in the historical Battle Mountain mining district of Lander County, Nevada. The project presents compelling upside potential with high-grade structurally controlled gold-silver-lead mineralisation and evidence of porphyry-style mineralisation within and around the Gold Mountain intrusive.
Element79 Gold Corp is a precious metals mining company focused on discoveries in the US.
