Element79 appoints seasoned financier for growth strategy

Element79 Gold (CSE:ELEM) has appointed experienced venture capitalist Mohammad Fazil to its board following the resignation of long-serving director Zara Kanji.

CEO Michael Smith confirmed Kanji’s departure on Monday, thanking her for her “valuable contributions” to the board of Element79.

“We wish Ms Kanji continued growth and success,” Smith said.

“At the same time, I welcome Mr Fazil to the board and am confident that his perspective and leadership will be instrumental as we focus on advancing our projects and driving long-term shareholder value.”

Fazil, with more than 35 years of experience in venture capital and junior resource financing, is the founder and president of financial advisory firm, Lion Park Capital.

In addition to joining the Element79 board, Fazil serves in leadership positions across the mining and energy sectors, including at Blue Sky Global Energy Corp and Smooth Rock Ventures Corp.

“I am honoured to join the board of Element79 Gold at such an important time in the company’s growth trajectory,” Fazil added.

“With a strong and potentially expanding portfolio, I look forward to contributing my expertise to help guide strategy and create lasting value for shareholders.”

Element79 primary projects are in Nevada, the Gold Mountain and Elephant projects, located along the Battle Mountain Trend, noted as one of the United States’ most significant gold belts.

The ‘high-grade’ Lucero Project is located in southern Peru, and according to the company, offers potential for long-term exploration growth.

Element79 said the board changes are effective immediately, with Fazil having already filed the required regulatory documents with the Canadian Securities Exchange.
