Duketon Mining (ASX:DKM) has scheduled a 4,000m reverse circulation (RC) drilling program at The Bulge, located within the ‘highly’ prospective Duketon Greenstone Belt in the Eastern Goldfields of Western Australia.
The company states this upcoming RC program is scheduled for May, with the purpose of testing the western ultramafic contact and several other exploration targets at the Bulge.
Duketon reports the planned program comes forth after the completion of a recent diamond drilling (DD) program at the project.
A total of 6 holes were drilled for about 3,400m at the Rosie deposit, with all drillholes intersecting sulphide mineralisation.
The company reports holes DKDD0036 and DKDD0039 were drilled below the current Rosie resource at 120m, which intersected mineralisation in both drillholes. In addition, hole DKDD0036 intersected a mineralised zone of 2.5m, including 50cm of massive sulphides.
Meanwhile, drillhole DKDD0039 intersected a mineralised zone over 7.6m, including heavily disseminated stringer and matrix sulphides.
Duketon reports drillholes DKDD0037 and DKDD038 were drilled at Rosie, outside of the current resource on the northwest and southeast, with both intersecting breccia, stringer, and blebby sulphides.
Additionally, the final two holes were drilled at Rosie West, located 350m west of Rosie. Hole DKDD040 was drilled 200m north of DKDD0035 and intersected a 4.2m zone of disseminated sulphides with minor intervals up to 50% sulphides.

Commenting on the drilling results, Duketon Mining Managing Director, Stuart Fogarty says: “What great results from this recent round of drilling, 4 holes drilled outside of the current Rosie mineral resource and all intersecting sulphides. Two of these holes are below the resource and 120m from the closest drillhole, it shows the growth potential of this deposit.
The intersection to the west of Rosie have identified an entirely new contact that is mineralised with nickel, copper, and PGE’s, looks similar to the Rosie mineralisation, and more than doubles the search space within the Bulge Ultramafic Complex.”
Duketon states downhole electromagnetic (DHEM) surveying is currently being completed on all 6 drillholes. Additionally, the first batch of assay results is expected to be received in about 2 weeks, with the remaining assays expected in about 5 weeks.
