Duketon Mining (ASX:DKM) has reported gold intersections at its Barlee Gold Project in Western Australia, with ‘standout results’ from the Gromit prospect.
Drilling at Gromit returned 30m @ 1.10 grams per tonne gold from 12m, including 9m @ 2.42g/t from 24m.
At Odie, the company returned 11m @ 0.67g/t from 28m, including 6m @ 1.10g/t from 33m. Previously reported Astro results included 24m @ 0.80g/t, including 12m @ 1.30g/t, and 8m @ 0.80g/t, including 2m @ 2.00g/t.
Mineralisation remains open along strike at all three prospects. The Gromit intersection sits 30m east of a previous aircore hole that returned 4m at 0.53g/t.
At Odie, gold is associated with a Banded Iron Formation at the eastern edge of the Diemals Basin.
“Our first-pass drilling has delivered intersections at Astro, Gromit and Odie, with each prospect remaining open for follow-up,” Managing Director Stuart Fogarty says.
“The Gromit intersection is particularly notable for its higher-grade core of 9m at 2.4g/t.”
The company has expanded its landholding, extending the project’s strike length to approximately 45km. It plans follow-up reverse circulation drilling at the three prospects and will expand geochemical soil coverage across the newly acquired tenure.
Duketon Mining is a Western Australian gold explorer advancing the Barlee project, with a growing landholding across highly prospective greenstone terrain in the Yilgarn Craton.
