Silver and base metals explorer Iltani Resources (ASX:ILT) is ramping up drilling at its Orient Silver-Indium Project in Herberton, 120km southwest of Cairns in Far North Queensland.
The company has mobilised two reverse circulation (RC) rigs to the project site, including one track-mounted rig and a wheeled rig.
At least 13 reverse circulation holes have been completed, spanning a combined 2.3km.
According to Managing Director Donald Garner, samples from up to five holes will be dispatched to Intertek’s (LON:ITRK) Townsville laboratory for assay work every three to four days.
“We expect to receive the first results in early June,” Garner says.
He adds that the company intends to drill a total of 115 RC holes totalling 16km as part of its current infill and expansion drilling program.
There are also plans to perform further drilling at the site, depending on results from extension drilling and other target testing.
The work aims to increase current resources and extend mineralisation along strike, at the Orient East and Orient West deposits.
Iltani Resources is a silver-indium exploration company with assets in Far North Queensland.
