Power and thermal management solutions provider Delta Electronics is working towards benefiting its mining partners by hosting its Delta Connect industry summit event today (8 April).
Delta Connect, which is taking place in Sydney, brings together industry executives to explore the future of technology and sustainability.
This year’s industry summit, with the theme ‘Innovation in Action’, will be helmed by several technology industry thought leaders including AirTrunk experts, Origin Energy, and KPMG Futures.
Speaking to Mining.com.au, Delta Electronic Australia Country Manager Tom Hew says there are several key areas that Delta is working towards to benefit the mining industry.
“Scalable utility via smart grid solutions, hydrogen fuel cells and electrolysers, and highly efficient medium voltage drivers,” Hew tells this news service.
Hew adds that partnerships are crucial particularly in the mining industry, which is constantly evolving.
“While we are a company driven by innovation, in many ways we are led by the challenges and opportunities of our customers,” Hew explains.
“Technology must play its part in improving the outcomes of industry, but it must also tackle challenges head-on. By applying a lens of sustainability to everything we do, we can make sure our tech provides tangible cost and operational benefits to the mining sector, while also ensuring it is helping to reduce its environmental impacts.”
As Mining.com.au previously reported late last month, Delta Electronics is actively engaging with a range of stakeholders in the mining industry to advance the adoption of clean energy technologies.
Hew told this news service that Delta’s complete Pit-to-Port solution is designed to synergise mining operations, while providing a smarter, more sustainable approach using its latest energy-efficient technology.
The Pit-to-Port ecosystem is considered an end-to-end solution that empowers mining operators with reliable energy, smart energy management, sustainable transportation, and connected operations.
At Delta Connect, presenters will cover a range of tech-focused hot topics including future mobility and electric vehicle adoption, AI data centres and sustainable supply chains. Several panel discussions will also offer debate and insight into smart grids, the future of energy technology, and building a sustainable future for Australian industries.
Attendees will also have the opportunity to explore Delta Electronics’ latest innovations at the Delta Connect Innovation Hub. The hub features interactive product displays, live demonstrations, and in-depth discussions with Delta’s technology experts.
The Innovation Hub will highlight a range of advanced solutions across Delta’s industry-focused ecosystems, including building and industrial automation, data centres, energy storage and management, and EV charging.
The exhibition will also showcase the outcomes of Delta Electronics’ coral restoration initiative in the Asia-Pacific region.
Hew adds that the aim of Delta Connect 2025 is to bring a range of industries together, including mining, for “meaningful dialogue and the sharing of ideas, insights and innovation”.
