Power and thermal management solutions provider Delta Electronics is actively engaging with a range of stakeholders in the mining industry to advance the adoption of clean energy technologies.
Speaking to Mining.com.au, Australia Country Manager Tom Hew says the company is engaging with stakeholders across the entire mine site ecosystem.
“Our complete Pit-to-Port solution is designed to synergise mining operations, while providing a smarter, more sustainable approach, utilising the latest in energy-efficient technology,” Hew says.
The Pit-to-Port ecosystem is considered an end-to-end solution that empowers mining operators with reliable energy, smart energy management, sustainable transportation, and connected operations.
Delta says the solution powers an entire mining site, stores and uses renewable energy collected from the environment, charges EVs for a cleaner future, while also storing and analysing data for informed decision making.
Hew notes Delta’s approach to sustainability is the “cornerstone” of everything the company does and makes.
“From a Delta perspective, sustainability is not just about reducing carbon emissions, it is also about applying a sustainability-led focus on our operations and company culture,” he tells this news service.
“Through this lens, we are able to provide the mining sector with innovative solutions, backed by smart management systems through the rigour of sustainable best practices.”
Delta has a range of technologies that supports boosting efficiency and autonomy, while also supporting sustainable outcomes in the mining sector.
The company’s technology such as its lithium ferrous phosphate (LFP) battery container and all-in-one energy storage system offer high-energy density and scalability, reducing power loss and as a result, carbon emissions, while also decreasing capital expenditures and operating costs.
“Our modular and scalable solutions, which are fully integrated and tested offsite, can also decrease time to site but also reduce installation and commissioning time,” Hew adds.
“There are also significant improvements to quality control when compared to competitor solutions in the market, as all our tech is assembled and tested in a controlled environment.”
As previously reported, Delta unveiled these innovations, which aim to support the mining industry as well as the road to net zero, at the All Energy Expo in Melbourne.
Hew says there were several key takeaways from last year’s All Energy Expo, including a rapidly expanding and diverse market place.
The event showcased the expansion of renewable energy and energy storage solutions in Australia, while also demonstrating the interest in Delta’s EV fast chargers, power conditioning systems, battery energy storage systems, and hydrogen stack technologies.
Hew adds that there are multiple paths to sustainability.
“The end goal is the same in terms of sustainability and reducing environmental impacts, but the path each industry and business takes will be different,” he says.
