Dateline Resources (ASX:DTR) has announced the arrival of the second diamond drill rig and commencement of drilling at the Colosseum Gold-REE Project in California, US.
Dateline acquired a track-mounted drill rig capable of drilling holes up to 1,200m depth due to the expected scale of the drilling program.
This second drill rig will work alongside the Major Drilling rig that is already on site to complete the 12 hole program. It will then be deployed to other gold and rare earth element (REE) targets across the project area.
Dateline also notes that depending on timing and other requirements, the second rig may be mobilised to Music Valley and/or Argos for drilling there.
Managing Director Stephen Baghdadi the track-mounted rig gives the company greater flexibility in their targeted drilling.
“In addition, our company owned third rig is also being deployed to support additional drilling aimed at expanding what we believe has the potential to evolve into an underground gold mineral resource after open pit mining is completed.”
Dateline Resource is an Australian company focused on mining and exploration in North America, with a focus on the Colosseum Gold-REE project in California.
