Dart Mining (ASX:DTM) has acquired the Skarn Ridge Copper-Gold and Mt Bauple Graphite (Skarn Ridge Project) in southeastern Queensland from FFM Group for a total $25,000.
The two new projects consist of one granted exploration permit at Mt Bauple, covering 234km2 and an application for Skarn Ridge, covering an area of 71km2.
Historic drilling at Skarn Ridge intersected 4m @ 0.5 grams per tonne gold from 16m, though exploration is limited across these tenements.
Chairman James Chirnside says that this strategic acquisition provides Dart with four projects within a 300km radius around the region.
“While the portfolio has advanced projects such as Triumph Au and Coonambula Sb, Au, the Skarn Ridge project area is an important pipeline strategy for Dart Mining as we assume a position as an established Queensland explorer and developer,” Chirnside says.
“The Skarn Ridge project presents a low-cost, entry-level project that we’ve added to our portfolio where we plan to expand on the limited historical exploration in search for copper and gold mineralisation.”
Dart Mining will focus now on progressing the farm-in exploration at Coonambula, where it will be earning up to 51% of the project.
Dart’s immediate priorities include reviewing recent drill assays at Coonambula, finalising the Native Title compensation agreement for Skarn Ridge, and planning second-stage drilling at Coonambula.
The company also expects to conduct studies at Skarn Ridge to design the first phase of exploration, gather outstanding data to support a maiden resource estimate at Coonambula, and expand the Triumph project’s existing resource.
Dart Mining is focused on precious metals and critical minerals exploration and development in Eastern Australia.
