Dalaroo Metals (ASX:DAL) is focused on two key fronts, building on the growing near-term gold market and longer-term upside in critical minerals in tier-one mining jurisdictions, Côte d’Ivoire and Greenland, respectively.
This diversification strategy, across both commodities and jurisdictions, is being led by CEO John Morgan, who describes Dalaroo’s focus as relatively straightforward and balanced.
“We have a near-term goal of discovery, backed by a longer-term exposure to critical minerals and driven by future supply chains,” Morgan says.
In Côte d’Ivoire, Dalaroo is targeting large-scale gold discoveries in what Morgan describes as “one of the more fertile belts around the world”, whereas in Greenland, the company is advancing the Blue Lagoon rare earths project in a globally significant but underexplored region.
Morgan notes that Dalaroo’s portfolio of projects across Côte d’Ivoire and Greenland provides the company with “strong exposure to near-term gold discovery and long-term critical minerals”.

Bondoukou: Early-stage gold hunt with scale potential
Within Côte d’Ivoire, Dalaroo is primarily focused on its 80%-owned Bondoukou Goldridge Gold Project, located in the Birimian Greenstone Belt.
“Bondoukou is central to the Dalaroo strategy as a near-term gold discovery opportunity,” Morgan says.
The project itself is still in the early stages but is showing the right geological signs that lead Dalaroo to believe in its scale potential.
“We have strong early indications of a structurally controlled system, that, importantly, remains untested by drilling,” Morgan says.
Bondoukou has approximately 9.5km of artisanal workings across the project area, with recent mapping and sampling identifying an initial target zone of 2.5km, as previously reported.
The gold anomalous zone along this corridor was identified through aeromagnetic imagery and regional structural analysis and is now undergoing systematic soil geochemical sampling to identify further extensions ahead of drilling.
“Our immediate focus is a systematic geochemical sampling program, which is currently underway across the whole nine-and-a-half-kilometre target zone,” Morgan says.
“We’re starting at the highest priority area, which is this two-and-a-half-kilometre area that we identified. That work is designed to rapidly sharpen our target areas and inform where we can move straight into drilling.”
Morgan notes that the company’s clear objective with Bondoukou is to get on the ground, generate targets quickly, and then test the system as soon as possible.
“We believe we’ve got the geological indicators consistent with a major gold discovery,” Morgan says.
“Our focus remains on moving onto target generation, then into drilling, with the aim of identifying and starting to delineate a meaningful gold system here.”
With these plans in place, Dalaroo’s goal with Bondoukou is clear. Morgan affirms that the company is looking to be in a position by the end of 2026 where they are able to define a large-scale system and move towards a resource definition.
While the project is still in early stages, Morgan highlights that the scale potential is already clear.

In late March 2026, Dalaroo conducted initial field activities at Bondoukou, opening 12.75km of sampling lines and collecting 262 soil samples.
As previously reported, this initial work has identified geological indicators that are consistent with a hydrothermal gold system, with lateritic clays and gavels hosting abundant quartz fragments and hematite, goethite, and limonite alterations.
“The plan with Bondoukou is simple: complete systematic geochemical coverage across the full strike extent, refine structural targets, and transition rapidly into drilling. Our objective is to test the continuity and scale of what appears to be a significant, structurally controlled gold system.” Morgan says.
“The company considers we’re at the early stage of where a lot of major gold discoveries have started, and now it’s just about getting in there and testing it.”
Côte d’Ivoire: Building discovery momentum with strong local expertise
Morgan confirms that Côte d’Ivoire is already a well-established mining region, “but success comes down to having the right people on the ground”.
Dalaroo has built a significant in-country geology team, with strong experience in navigating permitting, community engagement, and the day-to-day operations of the project, many of whom have more than 10 years of experience in the region.
Dalaroo has also recently appointed Mohammed Niaré as President of Business Development in Côte d’Ivoire, as previously reported.
Niaré brings extensive experience in the West African mining sector, and his strong in-country presence will help to advance the company’s gold exploration portfolio in Côte d’Ivoire, with a focus on business development, stakeholder engagement, and identifying new opportunities for exploration.
“Our significant in-country presence puts us in a strong position to move efficiently while maintaining good relationships at both the community and government levels,” Morgan says.

Greenland: Critical minerals push in a new frontier
In Greenland, Dalaroo is focused on the Blue Lagoon Project, a wholly owned critical minerals asset targeting zirconium, hafnium, rare earth elements, and niobium.
The company’s maiden exploration program confirmed widespread multi-element anomalism across around 2.7km of strike, proving the historical data provided by the government of Greenland and establishing the project as a new critical minerals district.
Dalaroo is progressing applications to expand its Greenland licence holdings, focusing on securing additional tenure over prospective extensions of the identified alkaline system to enable district-scale exploration, as reported.
The company is set to announce its upcoming exploration program that was developed following recent in-country engagement with both government and local contractors.

Near-term milestones: Upcoming pipeline of drilling, sampling, and news flow
Dalaroo has a clear plan pertaining to the Bondoukou Project, as Morgan notes that the results from the company’s geochemical sampling should flow straight into its maiden drilling campaign.
“Across our portfolio, we have a pretty clear pipeline of activity, target generation, drilling, new project announcements, with strong and consistent news flow coming up,” Morgan says.
Morgan notes that the company is strongly positioned in two world-class jurisdictions, giving it high exposure to key commodities at the moment.
Dalaroo’s dual strategy with gold in Côte d’Ivoire and critical minerals in Greenland underscores the company’s intent on delivering discovery today while securing relevance in tomorrow’s key supply chains.
The company’s next phase will be defined by drilling results and project milestones.
