Dalaroo Metals (ASX:DAL) has begun its soil sampling geochemistry program at the Goldridge prospect within the Bondoukou Project in northeastern Côte d’Ivoire.
The company intends to define the extent, continuity, and intensity of gold mineralisation across a 9km-long structural corridor at the project through the large-scale survey.
The corridor was interpreted from aeromagnetic data and recent surface exploration campaigns.
Dalaroo will target an extension to the ‘high-priority’ mineralisation which hosts a 2.5km strike gold corridor to identify additional parallel or blind structures along the trend.
Using grid spacing of 200m by 50m, Dalaroo has planned 61 lines for 4,400 samples in the Dingbi and Kogodjan areas.
The company opened 12.75km of sampling lines and collected 262 soil samples in initial field activities, conducted the week ending 29 March 2026.
Initial field work has identified geological indicators consistent with a hydrothermal gold system, with lateritic clays and gravels hosting abundant quartz fragments, and hematite, goethite, and limonite alterations.
CEO John Morgan says the program “represents a significant step in unlocking the scale potential of the Bondoukou Project”.
“The combination of a 9km structural corridor, strong artisanal activity, and high-grade rock-chip results highlight the potential for a large, structurally controlled gold system,” Morgan says.
“This systematic soil program is designed to rapidly define coherent anomalies and deliver multiple drill-ready targets in the near term.”
Exploration Manager for Côte d’Ivoire Frank Twum-Berima Bosompem says the soil geochemistry program is a “key value inflection point” for the project.
“We are targeting the extension of a structurally controlled gold system identified from mapping and rock sampling, with the objective of defining continuous mineralisation across a multi-kilometre corridor,” Bosompem says.
“Early field observations, including widespread alteration and quartz fragments within soils, are consistent with a robust hydrothermal system.
“This program will provide the geochemical framework required to unlock the full-scale potential of the project.’’
