Dalaroo establishes Blue Lagoon’s ‘core’ with new licence

Dalaroo Metals (ASX:DAL) has completed the acquisition of exploration licence MEL 2022-07, which the company says forms the “core” of the Blue Lagoon Critical Minerals Project in Greenland.

The completion of this acquisition consolidates 100% ownership over the most prospective zones Dalaroo identified in the 2025 field season.

CEO John Morgan says the granting of this exploration licence is a “pivotal de-risking event for Dalaroo”.

“It provides us with 100% tenure security over the high-grade heart of the Blue Lagoon Project, where our maiden results have already confirmed a significant 2.7km mineralised strike,” Morgan says.

“By securing this core ground and simultaneously applying to expand into the offshore extensions, we are effectively controlling the entire mineral system — from the primary source rocks to the downstream depositional traps.

“This ‘source-to-sink’ strategy allows us to test the true district-scale potential of the region. We are now fully funded and legally positioned to accelerate our 2026 program and demonstrate the value of this western-aligned critical minerals asset.”

Dalaroo has launched a structured de-risking program to intertwine with the 2026 field season, with key exploration events including geological mapping, geochemical sampling, maiden drilling, Van Veen grab sampling, bathymetric and depth profiling, as well as metallurgical testwork.

The company notes peak surface assays from the new licence area have reached 0.81% total rare earth oxides.

As reported by Mining.com.au, the company expanded its Blue Lagoon holdings by acquiring additional licence areas adjacent to the tenure earlier this month.

The project is located within a corridor prospect for rare earth elements and other critical minerals, including zirconium, niobium, and hafnium.

Dalaroo Metals is focused on building a diversified exploration portfolio for gold and critical minerals across Western Australia, Côte d’Ivoire, and Greenland.
