Cosmos Exploration kicks off summer exploration work at James Bay assets

Cosmos Exploration (ASX:C1X) is about to begin a maiden helicopter-assisted rock sampling program at the Corvette Far East and Lasalle Lithium projects in Canada’s James Bay district.

This news comes as wildfire restrictions in the area are set to be lifted, allowing Cosmos to begin exploration activities.

The company, which has a market capitalisation of $20.15 million, says 4 new ‘large, high-priority’ target areas for lithium-bearing minerals have been uncovered using newly acquired remote sensing and physical techniques at the Corvette Far East Project.

Similarly, 3 new ‘large, high-priority’ target areas for lithium-bearing minerals were recently uncovered at the Lasalle Lithium Project.

Cosmos says these targets will be the focus of the upcoming helicopter-assisted rock sampling program, which will be conducted over a 9-day period and managed by Quebec-based Laurentienne Scientifique.

Commenting on the exploration activities, Cosmos Exploration Executive Chairman Jeremy Robinson says: “We are pleased to announce the commencement of our summer exploration program, with helicopter-supported sampling about to begin across the high-priority targets we have generated over our 2 key James Bay projects.”
