Cosmos Exploration (ASX:C1X) subsidiary EAU Lithium has issued a formal Election Notice to acquire Vulcan Energy Resources’ (ASX:VUL) Adsorption‑type Direct Lithium Extraction (A‑DLE) pilot plant from Germany.
The company has waived all remaining conditions for the August 2025 Sale Agreement, with total consideration of €1.0 million ($1.64 million) for Pilot Plant 4 (PP4).
PP4 is a proven, pilot‑scale, German‑built A‑DLE facility that will initially process Bolivian brines at Vulcan’s German facility. The technology has already successfully tested these brines during an earlier phase.
EAU Lithium intends to use the plant for process optimisation, skills transfer, and educational purposes once acceptance testing is complete.
The PP4 unit is central to EAU’s strategy of deploying VULSORB technology in Bolivia in partnership with Yacimientos de Litio Bolivianos (YLB).
The plant gives EAU immediate access to proven A‑DLE hardware at a scale suitable for process optimisation.
Beyond its technical role, PP4 is intended to serve as a platform for community engagement programs in Bolivia, helping local stakeholders understand DLE technology.
EAU also plans to link the pilot program to university partnerships to support local skills development.
Cosmos Exploration is an Australian critical minerals company advancing lithium brine projects in South America through its EAU Lithium subsidiary, leveraging Vulcan Energy’s proprietary direct lithium extraction technology.
