CGN Resources (ASX:CGR) has completed heritage surveys across five priority gold targets at its Christmas Well Project in Western Australia, ahead of a maiden reverse circulation drilling campaign beginning in May.
The company completed heritage clearance across the Oxtongue, Lambs Fry, Sweetbread, Trotter, and Rocky Mountain Oyster targets, with support from the Darlot Native Title group.
Impact Drilling has been contracted to undertake the program, with site preparation and logistics planning now underway.
The final heritage report is expected at the end of April, maintaining CGN’s timeline to commence drilling in mid-May. Additional heritage survey work is scheduled for completion at the Panhandle Project later this month.
Managing Director Stan Wholley says the completion of the heritage survey represents a critical milestone for the company.
“While the heritage survey was being progressed, our team has been advancing detailed planning and target generation in the background, positioning us to move rapidly into drilling,” Wholley says.
“We appreciate the strong collaboration with the Darlot group, which has provided valuable insight into the heritage aspects of the project.
“Importantly, the survey has provided us a clear pathway to commence our maiden reverse circulation program — and that is now our immediate focus.”
The Christmas Well Project is located in the Leonora district of Western Australia.
The company has identified multiple gold targets through detailed geological interpretation of regional datasets, including high-resolution aeromagnetic data and historical drilling results.
CGN Resources is focused on unlocking Western Australia’s mineral potential through its portfolio of assets across the state.
