Cazaly Resources (ASX:CAZ) will begin drilling at the Duke of York prospect within its Goongarrie Gold Project in Western Australia following government approvals and the completion of a heritage survey.
The Department of Energy, Mines, Industry Regulation, and Safety has permitted the company to begin reverse circulation and aircore drilling programs.
Reverse circulation drilling aims to test the strike extent and plunge direction of gold mineralisation of both the Duke of York and Star of Goongarrie prospects, while also validating historical drill intercepts within the Bardoc Terrain Zone.
Previous intercepts returned anomalous gold mineralisation, including 8m @ 10.7 grams per tonne gold and 3m @ 6.3g/t gold.
Meanwhile, a heritage survey has advised the company to move forward with expeditions after not identifying any heritage sites within the proposed drilling area.

Cazaly, which has a market capitalisation of $7.38 million, will begin its reverse circulation program at the Duke of York prospect shortly, following site preparation.
An aircore drilling program is expected to follow the conclusion of reverse circulation drilling, which aims to identify new gold prospects along strike 5km of the Bardoc Terrain Zone. This will include the Goongarrie Lady and Jenny’s Reward gold mines.
As reported by Mining.com.au in March, the company exercised its option to proceed with an earn-in joint venture agreement with Brightstar Resources (ASX:BTR) to acquire 80% of the Goongarrie Gold Project.
Located in the Eastern Goldfields of Western Australia, the Goongarrie Gold Project comprises 70km2 of the greenstone sequence in the Kalgoorlie Terrain, as well as 12km of the Bardoc Terrain Zone.
Cazaly Resources is an Australian explorer, focused on the development of its gold and copper projects spanning Western Australia.
