Cazaly begins Hastings earthworks ahead of maiden drilling

Cazaly Resources (ASX:CAZ) has commenced earthworks ahead of a maiden 3,000m aircore drilling program at the Hastings gold prospect, located within the Goongarrie Gold Project 90km north of Kalgoorlie in Western Australia.

Line clearing and access preparations are underway to test 2.6km of the mineralised Bardoc Tectonic Zone (BTZ) corridor, where bedrock gold mineralisation lies beneath shallow alluvial cover 6km north of the 1.5 million ounce Aphrodite gold deposit.

Managing Director Tara French says the program represents a priority target for the company’s exploration strategy.

“With drilling approvals complete, earthworks are underway to prepare drill lines ahead of rig mobilisation,” French says.

“The Hastings prospect is a priority target, and it is pleasing to see the program move from planning to execution.”

Previous drilling at Hastings returned an intercept of 38m @ 3.10 grams per tonne gold (Au) from 62m to the end of hole at 100m depth, indicating mineralisation remains open at depth and along strike.

Historical drilling also returned multiple intercepts over 1.00g/t Au, including 5m @ 8.30g/t Au from 73m and 8m @ 1.30g/t Au from 74m.

Cazaly expects to mobilise the aircore rig shortly and commence drilling.

Located in WA’s northeastern goldfields, the Goongarrie Project consists of 70km² greenstone sequence within the Kalgoorlie terrain.

The company exercised an option in March 2025 to earn up to 80% of the project, which encompasses 12km of the BTZ along the northern extension of the Boulder-Lefroy Shear Zone.

Cazaly Resources is a junior explorer focused on its Goongarrie Gold Project in WA, alongside a portfolio of critical minerals projects across Australia, Canada, and Namibia.
