Cazaly concludes maiden drilling at Hastings

Cazaly Resources (ASX:CAZ) has completed its first aircore drilling program at the Hastings gold prospect within the Goongarrie Gold Project in Western Australia.

The company drilled 50 drill holes for 3,512m across 2.1km of the Bardoc Tectonic Zone (BTZ), testing along strike from a historic ‘high-grade’ intercept of 38m @ 3.10 grams per tonne gold (Au) from 62m.

All samples have been submitted to SGS laboratories in Kalgoorlie, with assay results expected during the September 2026 quarter.

Managing Director Tara French says the completion represents a significant step forward for the Goongarrie Project.

“More than 3,500m of drilling across 2.1km of the Bardoc Tectonic Zone has given us our maiden systematic first-pass test of the Hastings trend beneath shallow cover, along strike from the historic 38m at 3.10g/t Au intercept,” French says.

The aircore program was designed as a first-pass systematic test of the Hastings trend beneath shallow alluvial cover. Drill holes were drilled at 60° towards the east, perpendicular to the strike of the lithologies, at an average depth of approximately 70m.

Cazaly says the program originally planned to test 2.6km of the BTZ, but was terminated early due to heavy rain across the project area.

Drill samples were collected at 4m composited intervals with one certified standard inserted every 50 samples, and one field duplicate collected every 50 samples.

The Hastings prospect is characterised by bedrock gold mineralisation lying beneath shallow alluvial cover along the BTZ. It sits on the same structural corridor that hosts the 1.5-million-ounce Aphrodite gold discovery, located 6km along strike to the south.

The Goongarrie Project is located 90km north of Kalgoorlie in WA’s Eastern Goldfields and covers 20km of the BTZ, the northern extension of the Boulder-Lefroy Shear Zone.

Cazaly can earn up to 80% of the project through staged expenditure commitments totalling $3 million.

The company plans further drilling where anomalous assay results are returned from the current program.

Cazaly Resources is a junior explorer focused on its Goongarrie Gold Project in WA, alongside a portfolio of critical minerals projects across Australia, Canada, and Namibia.
