Cazaly Resources (ASX:CAZ) has completed 2,700m of aircore drilling across high-priority targets along the Menzies Shear Zone at its Goongarrie Gold Project in Western Australia.
The program began in late August but was interrupted twice by heavy rainfall at the start of drilling and again at the beginning of October. Drilling is scheduled to restart before the end of the month.
The first phase included 58 holes testing structurally complex zones at the Star of Goongarrie, Duchess, and Duke of York prospects.
Targets were selected based on magnetic anomalies and previous gold intercepts, including 19m at 1.5 grams per tonne, 4m at 4.7g/t, and 6m at 10.3g/t gold.
Managing Director Tara French said the delayed start has been challenging but confidence remains high.
“The wet and staggered start to our aircore campaign has been frustrating; however, the outlook for November is positive, and we’re eager to complete the program successfully,” she said.
Cazaly has also expanded its landholding through the acquisition of two tenements — E29/1211 and E29/1212 — from privately held Corad. The agreement includes $50,000 in cash, $25,000 in Cazaly shares, and milestone payments tied to future resource delineations of 50,000 and 75,000 ounces of gold.
The newly acquired ground adjoins existing Goongarrie tenements and adds more than eight kilometres of prospective strike within the Bardoc Tectonic Zone. It also includes the historic Julie Margaret Gold Mine, located about six kilometres south of the Sand Queen mine at Comet Vale.
