Benz Mining Corp (TSX-V:BZ) plans to undertake more than 250,000m of drilling in 2026 across its Glenburgh Gold Project in Western Australia’s Gascoyne region.
The company has identified three distinct gold camps within the project area – Hurricane, Icon and Thunderbolt – which form part of an 18-20km mineralised corridor.
CEO Mark Lynch-Staunton says the project has reached a milestone following extensive technical work over the past year.
“Over the past 12 months, Benz has done the hard technical work required in high-grade metamorphic terrain – integrating drilling, mapping and structural interpretation – to move Glenburgh from a set of historical prospects into a coherent geological system that can now be targeted systematically,” Lynch-Staunton says.
The company’s 2026 drilling strategy will target both high-grade discovery potential and bulk-style mineralisation across all three camps, with $94 million in pro-forma cash available to fund the extensive program.
At the Hurricane Camp, drilling will focus on extending the Zone 126 trend, which remains open at depth. The company will also test the Hurricane target and NE3 prospects along strike.
Systematic step-out drilling will be conducted at the Icon Camp across its more than 3km trend to depths of 300-500m, aimed at expanding mineralised continuity along strike and down plunge.
The Thunderbolt Camp represents a new growth front that has only been historically tested to depths of around 100m. Benz plans to begin systematic first-pass drilling here in 2026 to 500m depth.
The company notes the three camps represent only about 12km of its broader 80km district-scale trend. A regional surface sampling program comprising more than 3,000 samples was completed in 2025, with results pending.
Benz has also begun scoping-level work to evaluate potential development pathways, supported by planned diamond drilling for metallurgical, geotechnical and orebody knowledge programs.
The Glenburgh Project benefits from an existing mining lease and established approvals, which the company says provides a clear pathway from exploration to potential development.
