Bellavista Resources (ASX:BVR) is on schedule to move forward with drilling on several anomalies at its Brumby Project in Western Australia before the end of the year.
The $10 million market capitalisation company says these anomalies were uncovered using an airborne versatile time domain electromagnetic (VTEM) survey enhanced by additional mapping and ground electromagnetic (EM) surveys.
Bellavista reports a blind sub-vertical bedrock conductor is being modelled for immediate drill testing, with other conductors modelled and prioritised for subsequent drilling.
Another priority target to be immediately drill tested is VTEM Target 11, which returned a discrete sub-vertical response with moderate conductance of roughly 180 Siemens.
The modelled plate of this target is 90m below surface and has a north-south strike extent of 300m, with an iron-rich surface ‘gossan’ and fault brecciation present at surface along the strike of this anomaly.

Bellavista notes these potential nickel-copper-rich zones were pursued following the identification of a ‘high-grade’ replacive nickel mineral Vaesite (NiS2) in phase one drilling and the presence of ‘high-grade’ copper rock chips.
A heritage survey has been conducted over the planned drilling areas, resulting in clearance to drill. Track clearing access and the sighting of drill pads is expected to be completed in the coming weeks, and Bellavista reports it has secured a preferred drilling contractor.
Executive Director Mick Wilson says the company’s exploration work so far has deepened its understanding of the geology on which its project lies.
“These are highly promising targets which have been identified through systematic, detailed exploration work, including initial drilling and extensive geophysics.
This has given us a strong understanding of the geology and the geometry of these conductors. With the heritage survey now successfully completed, we look forward to the start of drilling, testing the priority nickel and copper targets this quarter.”

Bellavista Resources is a mineral explorer focused on finding ‘world-class’ sediment-hosted base metals, iron oxide copper gold (IOCG), and sulphide-related precious and base metal deposits in the Upper-Gascoyne region of Western Australia.
The company’s Brumby project is located within its greater Edmund Basin Projects, which cover about 140km of strike on the northern margin, with an additional 30km of strike on the East Abra Project on the southern margin.
Bellavista Resources had $1.032 million cash and cash equivalents at hand as of 30 June 2023, although it announced in August it had pocketed an additional $1.5 million through a placement to fund further exploration.
