Bellavista Resources (ASX:BVR) has targeted resource expansion and infrastructure evaluation, as dual drilling campaigns begin across Canada and Western Australia.
The company focuses on a 15,000m definition and extensional drilling program on the near-surface mineral resource of 1 million ounces (Moz) @ 4.10 grams per tonne gold (Au) above a 0.50g/t cutoff grade at the Pickle Crow Gold Project in Ontario.
This project hosts a total inferred mineral resource of 2.80Moz at 7.20g/t Au.
Initial drilling for the remainder of 2026 assesses the open-pit potential on the existing mineral resource before moving to additional near-surface regional targets in early 2027.
Managing Director Glenn Jardine says the drilling represents a ‘significant milestone’ for the company.
“We are excited to commence drilling at Pickle Crow, which represents one of the highest-grade undeveloped gold resources in the world,” Jardine says.
The Pickle Crow Project contains an inferred mineral resource of 11.9 million tonnes (Mt) @ 7.20g/t Au for 2.80Moz.
This resource comprises quartz lodes at 6.7Mt grading 9.80g/t Au for 2.10Moz, bulk mineralisation at 4.2Mt grading 3.80g/t Au for 0.50Moz, and satellite deposits at 1Mt grading 4.10g/t Au for 0.10 Moz.
Surface sampling also starts at the Sioux Lookout Project to follow up on previous results, including 73.60g/t Au and 15.10g/t Au. This project sits immediately along strike of the NexGold (TSX-V:NEXG) Goliath 2.90Moz gold project.
At the Brumby Project in the Pilbara region of Western Australia, the company launches a 4,000m mineralisation continuity and bulk sampling program for column leach testwork.
This drilling evaluates mineralisation continuity for future resource definition drilling and follows encouraging leach testwork reported in the March quarter.
Financial statements show that Bellavista Resources holds $30 million in cash at quarter-end June 2026, with a market capitalisation of $78 million based on its current share price of $0.37.
These Ontario assets reside within the Uchi and Wabigoon Sub-Provinces, with the Pickle Crow Project adjacent to the town of Pickle Lake providing year-round access, power, water, and an established 100,000-tonne-per-annum processing plant.
