Advisory firm BDO Australia has hired five new partners and given 13 new-year partner promotions, taking the firm’s total number of partners to more than 300.
The five newly appointed partners will start in January and February. The new partner promotions came into effect on 1 January and are from a range of service lines including audit, tax, business services, and advisory.
BDO Chief Executive Partner Tony Schiffmann says the hires demonstrate the calibre of people coming up through the strong pipeline of talent and BDO’s ability to attract “outstanding professionals in a very competitive market”.
“Each of these individuals has consistently demonstrated outstanding performance, innovative thinking, and commitment to our values. Their leadership has not only inspired their teams but has also significantly contributed to our collective success,” Schiffmann says.
“I am proud of the culture we have created at BDO – one where we are focused on developing our people and encouraging everyone to undertake their work with purpose, quality and pride.
“We are committed to continually developing and nurturing our future leaders, and seeing the talent exhibited across the firm makes it clear we have a strong future ahead.”
Schiffmann notes the lateral hires joining the firm – Peter Horsman, Sam Pickard, Mark Harrington, Sohail Dossa, and Luke Eason – have extensive experience across risk management, project advisory, and infrastructure.
