Battery Age Minerals (ASX:BM8) has received approval from the Ontario Ministry of Mines for a permit allowing a maiden drilling program to start at its Falcon Lake Lithium Project in Canada.
The approval will allow Battery Age Minerals to expedite the beginning of its maiden drilling program on the ‘highly prospective’ Falcon Lake lithium asset, located in the Thunder Bay mining jurisdiction in north-western Ontario.
The initial drilling program will comprise between 4,000 and 5,000m of diamond drilling. Battery Age Minerals reports the final planning and mobilisation activities for the drilling program are currently underway, with drilling operations expected to begin in 4-6 weeks.

The Falcon Lake Lithium Project includes 214 mining claims encompassing an area of 42.8km-square. The project area is located in a highly fertile region for spodumene-bearing pegmatites within a prospective 5km corridor with notable historic intercepts of 24.4m @ 1.43% lithium oxide (Li2O) from 10.9m, including 9.0m @ 1.95% Li2O.
