Australian battery minerals company Battery Age Minerals (ASX:BM8) has begun a maiden fieldwork program at its Tidili Copper-Gold Project in Morocco.
The company reports the maiden fieldwork program has been designed to verify historical works, and to undertake further mapping and sampling which will lay the foundations for the development of a more expansive exploration campaign planned to be executed later this year.
Battery Age Minerals says it has engaged an experienced consultant geologist, Dr Simon Dorling of Rock Domain Consulting to progress the exploration and evaluation of the Tidili Project. Dorling has ‘extensive’ experience in exploration, development, and mining spanning base metals, precious metals, energy metals, and industrial metals. Dorling also previously served as Principal Geologist at CSA Global.
The company notes Dorling brings specialist technical knowledge to the project and will work with the Battery Age team to execute exploration programs at the Tidili Project. These will be completed in conjunction with General Manager-Exploration, Nigel Broomham.

The Tidili Project is located about 80km southeast of Marrakesh in Morocco and represents a greenfields copper exploration opportunity. Previous exploration work has included mapping and sampling, with geochemical analysis of the samples showing polymetallic mineralisation marked by ‘high’ levels of base metals (copper and lead), and gold.
