Battery Age flags Falcon East extension 

Battery Age Minerals (ASX:BM8) has outlined the potential for scale at the Falcon East Extension, as part of its Falcon Lake Lithium Project in Ontario, Canada, after posting ‘high-grade’ lithium assays.

The $17.45 million market capitalisation company says the assays, generated from a phase two 10,000m to 20,000m drilling program, confirm the presence of ‘significant’ lithium mineralisation from surface. 

Key intercepts include hole 23FL-081 with 20.65m @ 1.48% lithium oxide (Li2O) from 66.6m downhole; hole 23FL-076 with 18.95m @ 1.65% Li2O from 1.75m downhole; and hole 23FL-077 with 18.45m @ 1.4% Li2O from 37.8m. 

Battery Age Minerals reports the new results build on previously announced intercepts from phase one drilling, which returned grades of up to 1.45% Li2O. 

The company notes results confirm that Falcon East is a priority focus for drilling in 2024, with shallow mineralisation confirmed at the first of 30 targets to be tested as part of the phase two drilling program. 

Interim Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Nigel Broomham says the results represent a ‘strong’ validation of the company’s exploration approach.

“These outstanding assay results have confirmed the presence of thick, high-grade zones of lithium mineralisation at Falcon East Extension, a fantastic result for the team and strong vindication of our exploration approach. 

The phase two drilling program, which only commenced a few weeks ago, has already delivered in spades – highlighting the enormous potential across the broader Falcon Lake area.”

Battery Age Minerals is a battery minerals explorer focused on rapidly growing its Falcon Lake Project which covers 42.8km-square and sits in Ontario, Canada. 

As of 30 September 2023, the company had $6.526 million cash and cash equivalents at hand, according to its latest quarterly report.
