Ballymore Resources (ASX:BMR) has paused drilling at its Torpy’s Discovery in North Queensland after completing 22 holes that continue to expand the ‘high-grade’ silver-lead-zinc-indium system.
The company completed 2,673m of reverse circulation drilling across the Torpy’s and Little Torpy’s targets at its Ruddygore Project near Chillagoe.
Visual estimates from the latest holes include 22m @ 4% galena and 5% sphalerite from 34m in BTPRC030, including 11m @ 8% galena and 9% sphalerite from 42m.
BTPRC031 intersected 10m @ 6% galena and 8% sphalerite from 66m, including 3m @ 15% galena and 20% sphalerite from 68m.
“We’ve consistently intersected broad zones of sulphide mineralisation while expanding the known footprint of the system,” Managing Director David A-Izzeddin says.
“Rather than simply continuing to drill the existing discovery, we’re taking the opportunity to integrate all of our datasets to prioritise what we believe could be the most prospective targets for the next phase of drilling.”
The current program builds on Ballymore’s 2025 discovery hole, BTPRC005, which returned 23m at 215.60 grams per tonne silver (Ag), 8.55% lead (Pb), and 1.99% zinc (Zn) from 130m, including 10m at 483.20g/t Ag, 19.35% Pb, 2.82% Zn, and 16.50g/t indium (In).
Recent drilling has consistently intersected massive to semi-massive sulphide mineralisation across both target areas. BTPRC022 returned 17m at 2% galena and 3% sphalerite from 15m, including 1m at 10% galena and 15% sphalerite from 16m.
Field work continues to identify additional historic workings beyond the current drilling area.
Rock chip sampling from historic Torpy’s mine waste returned up to 696g/t Ag and 79.28% Pb, with newly identified workings returning 288.84g/t Ag, 12.46% Pb, and 4.10g/t In.
The company completed a high-resolution gravity survey over a 32km corridor comprising 1,948 stations, identifying numerous significant gravity anomalies across the Torpy’s-Little Torpy’s corridor and additional high-priority targets.
Ballymore Resources is now completing detailed three-dimensional modelling and integrating all available geophysical and geological datasets to optimise drill targeting for the next campaign.
Assay results from the current drilling, final gravity survey results, and new drill targets are expected over the coming months, with drilling to resume following completion of the modelling work.
