Aurum Resources (ASX:AUE) reports ‘high-grade’ gold intercepts from its ongoing 100,000m diamond drilling program at the Boundiali Gold Project in Côte d’Ivoire.
The company received assay results from 22 diamond holes at the BST1 deposit, totalling 5,774m of infill and extensional drilling.
Key intercepts from drilling include 5.63m @ 31.79 grams per tonne gold (Au) from 32m, including 2.63m @ 67.6g/t Au, and 3.07m @ 17.2g/t Au from 201.93m, including 0.5m @ 104.13g/t Au.
Other results include 2m @ 18.71g/t Au from 149m, 4.5m @ 6.65g/t Au from 222m, including 3.5m @ 8.42g/t Au; and 30m at 0.96g/t Au from 174m, including 6m @ 2.05g/t Au.
The drilling confirms gold mineralisation down dip outside the current mineral resource estimate (MRE) at BST1, with the system remaining open. The BST1 deposit contains 22 million tonnes (Mt) at 0.8g/t Au for 570,000 ounces within Aurum’s 3.22-million-ounce (Moz) Boundiali Project.
Managing Director Caigen Wang says the results demonstrate shallow, ‘high‑grade’ mineralisation amenable to open-pit mining.
“These 22 holes form part of the ongoing 100,000m CY2026 Boundiali program, targeting resource growth and higher confidence ahead of the next Boundiali MRE update,” Wang says.
“The shear-hosted gold mineralisation at BST1 shows thick, wide zones with multiple intersections downhole, and as demonstrated in our PFS [Prefeasibility Study], this style of mineralisation is amenable to open-pit mining.”
The company operates 16 diamond drill rigs across Boundiali, with drilling designed to materially increase the indicated resource at BST1, currently at 6.9Mt @ 0.9g/t Au for 190,000 ounces. Results will feed into the next major resource update, with drilling cut‑off targeted for the end of September 2026 and results expected early in Q4.
Aurum achieved environmental approval for a 6-million-tonne-per-annum open-pit gold mine in May, followed by delivery of the PFS and maiden ore reserve in June. The company targets completion of the Definitive Feasibility Study in late 2026.
Aurum plans to continue its 100,000m drilling program at Boundiali alongside a 30,000m program at the 1.16Moz Napié Gold Project, starting in Q4. The company held $54.6 million in cash as at 30 June 2026.
Aurum Resources is an Australian gold exploration company advancing a portfolio anchored by the Boundiali and Napié projects in Côte d’Ivoire.
