ATHA Energy Corp (TSX-V:SASK) has begun site mobilisation at its Angilak Uranium Project in Nunavut, Canada, with exploration activities set to begin in late April.
The company has initiated the transport of fuel, supplies and equipment via ATR aircraft from Yellowknife, Northwest Territories, and Baker Lake and Rankin Inlet, Nunavut, including the delivery of a third diamond drill from Base Diamond Drilling.
Following its recent C$63 million ($65.87 million) financing completed in February 2026, Atha plans to conduct its largest exploration program to date at the Angilak Project, building on successful 2024 and 2025 campaigns.
The 2024 program focused on expanding mineralisation along the Lac 50 deposit corridor, while the 2025 campaign tested regional targets within the Angikuni Basin along the Mineralized RIB and KU-Nine Iron Corridors.
Last year’s drilling led to five new uranium discoveries, including RIB North where the initial hole intersected 34.7m of composite uranium mineralisation with grades up to 8.16% uranium oxide over 0.5m.
The company controls 2.75 million hectares of prospective exploration ground across Canada’s uranium basins and holds a 10% carried interest in Athabasca Basin projects operated by NexGen Energy (TSX:NXE) and IsoEnergy (TSX:ISO).
